Welcome to the Berean Bible Study Group

dscn0833 We call ourselves Bereans because, like the Bereans of Acts 17:11, we like to dig into the Bible and find out for ourselves what God has to say. But just because we dig does not mean it has to be difficult or complicated. God made His Word to be understood by His People.

That's why, as a Bible teacher, I like to make things simple. I see the world in terms of good and evil, and I know that all good comes from God (James 1:17). We learn about good from God's Word. When God expresses good, we call it Love. God's Love Story is told on every page of the Bible and proven with every step Jesus took.

We study God's Word, so we may know the difference between good and evil. And so we may love Jesus and one another just as He loves us. Please join us as we read along through the Bible with the Author of Love. If you can't make it to our Bible Study on Thursdays, then follow the lessons here on the web. Feel free to email questions, prayer requests or suggestions to me, Pastor John, at john@dmin.org.

Bible Study Methods

We follow through the Bible using an expository, inductive bible study method. That means we take each book, chapter and verse as they are presented in Scripture, and we look at them in context. We put nothing into this study in terms of theology or doctrine; and we only take away what we find there in Scripture. When we encounter difficult or confusing passages, we do our best to consider all the various interpretations that have been used by the church over the centuries.
